ICE CREAM BOOKS PAIRS GREAT CLASSICS WITH FROZEN FAVOURITES

PHOTO ICE CREAM BOOKS/BEN DENZER

Reading a few pages of a book can have the same therapeutic properties as eating a good ice cream. A daily pleasure, a small gluttonous sin. Which can also say a lot about the tastes and interests of an individual. It's with this in mind that Ben Denzer began his food art project.

Called "Ice Cream Books" his conceptual art project combines books and balls of ice cream, as colorful and inviting as the covers of the chosen books. Denzer's inviting photographs of, well-saturated colors and simple compositions directed from research carried out by him in the field.

To create the Ice Cream Books project, Denzer collaborated with many New York ice cream parlors, even creating a bespoke ice cream in collaboration with New York's Superiority Burger.

And so, Franz Kafka meets a vanilla ice cream and caramel at the mezcal, David Hockney dialogues with an orange sorbet, David Foster Wallace, lemon ice cream, Gucci Mane, chocolate-roasted almonds and so on, in a project designed to eat with your eyes. See his ideas below:
