CHEF'S TABLE SEASONS 5 AND 6 LINE-UPS REVEALED

Everyone’s favourite cooking show, Chef’s Table, has released the line-ups for its next two seasons.

The fifth season of David Gelb’s award-winning documentary series will air on Netflix on 28 September 2018, while the sixth will be released some time in 2019, with each season focusing on four different chefs from around the world.

Season five, which takes “chefs and cuisines whose stories have for too long been hidden,” as its theme according to Eater, will feature the following chefs: Cristina Martinez of Philadelphia’s South Philly Barbacoa, an acclaimed Mexican restaurant serving barbecued meats; Bo Songvisava, one half of the husband and wife team behind Bangkok’s BoLan; Musa Dağdeviren, who is preserving traditional Turkish flavours and techniques at his various Istanbul restaurants; and finally Albert Adrià, the younger Adrià brother, who has built a restaurant empire in Barcelona following the closure of elBulli.

Season six will focus on “the journey home” and feature chefs Mashama Bailey of The Grey in Savannah Georgia; Sean Brock, formerly of Husk and McCrady’s in Charleston, South Carolina; Asma Khan of London’s Darjeeling Express; and larger than life Italian butcher Dario Cecchini.

Time will tell if this is the last we’ll see of Chef’s Table with Executive Producer Brian McGinnrevealing earlier in the year that he could forsee an end date to the project, but in the meantime, there is plenty to look forward to.
