THOMAS KELLER OPENS DOORS TO NEW MIAMI RESTAURANT

The restaurant is Keller’s first concept location, drawing on The Surf Club’s elite history, when it used to attract Hollywood stars and world leaders, while the food is described as “Classic continental cuisine” – think beef wellington, oysters Rockefeller and crab cakes – with chef de cuisine Manuel Echeverri handling the day to day.
Keller, who holds three Michelin stars at both California’s The French Laundry and New York’s Per Se, has previously said that he didn’t want to open another fine dining restaurant in the US.

Speaking about his plans for the restaurant to The Miami Herald in 2017, Keller said: “It’s going to be a tip of the hat to a time when America was the most optimistic, when the appeal in America, the pride in America, was at its peak … The glamor, the celebration, that’s the kind of restaurant this will be.”
