Restaurant Magazine has revealed its annual list of the 100 Best Restaurants in the UK as part of its National Restaurant Awards, with London's Kiln, a 50-cover joint in Soho, which serves regional Thai cuisine, rising nine places to take the top spot this year.

Kiln swaps places with Kent's The Sporstman, last year's number one, London's Sabor is second, third and fourth is A.Wong and Core by Clare Smyth respectively, also both in London, while fifth this year is Simon Rogan's L'Enclume.

London dominates, with over half of the restaurants found in the capital (here's a list of the 100 best restaurants outside the capital from SquareMeal). The Best chef Award went to Sabor's Nieves Barragan, One to Watch to Cornerstone in London and the Lifetime Achievement Award to Raymond Blanc.

The list is based on the views of 150 chefs, restaurateurs and food writers.
