20 OF THE WORST PLATING IDEAS EVER
It’s that time again, when we catch up with We Want Plates, the hilarious website and Twitter account dedicated to ill-advised food plating. It describes itself as a "Crusade against food on slates, chips in mugs and drinks in jam jars," something many of us can get behind.
We like to check in with them every now and again to see the bad food plating diners around the world have been sharing. As ever, you wonder how some of these food plating horror shows ever made it out of the kitchen, from the weird to the impractical, to the downright disgusting.
That's not to say you shouldn't be creative with food plating, but if there's anything to learn from this, it's that if it makes it harder to eat, think again before sending it out. Also, best not to serve food in receptacals we normally associate with trash, dirt or germs, like mini bins for example – just a thought.
