Two-Michelin-Star chef and Chef’s Table star Dominique Crenn’s latest venture in San Francisco, her third in the city, is a laid back wine bar that pays homage to the French classics, including dishes from some of France’s best chefs.

Bar Crenn, which sits in the adjacent building to the Michelin-starred Atelier Crenn, is decked out to resemble a 1930s Parisian salon, and shares a courtyard with her flagship restaurant, with the more casual Petit Crenn, a little further away, completing the triumvirate.

Alongside a wine list that leans heavily on the French and the the organic, and a selection of low-proof cocktails, you can expect dishes based on recipes from some of France’s best chefs, including Guy Savoy and Alain Ducasse, as well as Crenn’s own take on the cornerstones of French cuisine. Dishes include quenelles de brochet, pâté en croûte and tarte tatin, and can be enjoyed a la carte or as part of a three course tasting menu.

Crenn has also announced plans for a boutique, restaurant and patisserie combined called Boutique Crenn later in the year and will, in May, head to Milan to take up her position as one of the Seven Sagesat the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 competition, having already mentored 2016 winner Mitch Lienhard.
