40 BEST SANDWICHES RANKED
While it’s impossible to produce a definitive ranking of the world’s best sandwiches, Food Republic has given it a good go with this fun infographic.
Heavy on US-style sandwiches, it’s sure to be a contentious list, with bacon, egg and cheese at the top, followed by grilled cheese, pulled pork, bánh mì and a classic BLT making up the top five.
We’d definitely like to see the croquet madame higher on the list – check out Thomas Keller’s recipefor the ultimate version of this classic French dish. There are also loads more questionable omissions, such as the mighty Portuguese francesinha or the South American choripan.
