Jaroslaw Jaśnikowski - artist, born in Legnica in 1976. Painting engaged in since 1991. In the mid-90s, he discovers the works of Salvador Dali and other surrealists, while in 1998, under the influence of an exhibition of Wojciech Siudmak in Legnica Copper Museum and meeting with the artist himself, he decides to devote himself to working in such directions as surrealism or fantastic realism. In the same year he also started teaching in Głogowski study fine arts, where he meets a well-known painter and poet głogowski; Telemachus Pilitsidisa. Under his direction, it seems diploma in painting in 2001. Pod jego kierunkiem, zdaje dyplom z malarstwa w 2001 roku. Obecnie Jaśnikowski jest jednym z czołowych twórców realizmu fantastycznego w Polsce, jogo obrazy są w kolekcjach na całym świecie.

Obrazy Jarosława Jaśnikowskiego stanowią swego rodzaju relację z podróży artysty po nieznanych światach. My painting is like a continuous journey, the undiscovered worlds. However, instead of a camera taking her paints, brushes and canvas and paints pictures, or how someone will intercede window. Through these windows, other people can move there for a moment, to our imagination Alternative Worlds.

Once I thought of myself primarily as a wizard, a different reality, but my limit baulks creation, and passive describing the surreal reality faded. Images appear in me already so naturally and so easily that are increasingly losing their sense of creation, and the more I become Opowieściomalarzem.

So I tell people about the world crashed as a result of some unknown cataclysm on millions of levitating islands in the vast space. I talk about the world in which they operate completely different laws of physics and chemistry than in our dimension. Gravity has different properties than there is with which we meet every day. Items can float limply just because they are not aware that they would not be able to do that. The concept of matter is something very relative and fleeting. Without any reason gothic cathedral can become a viscous liquid, and the body of a woman unite with the rock. But in all this chaos emerged a makeshift intelligent creatures, which have made themselves the earth and subdue. They erected magnificent buildings, they form a monumental locomotives, and they conquered the skies zapełniwszy these ships and airships.

Someone might ask; where are these worlds, whether located in our galaxy, or perhaps much further? But the distance does not have any meaning here. Merges the real world with the worlds of our imagination. Sometimes they overlap each other creating each other's reality. Moje malarstwo jest niczym nieustanna podróż, po nieodkrytych światach. Jednak zamiast aparatu fotograficznego zabieram w nią farby, pędzle oraz płótna i maluje obrazy, lub jak ktoś woli, wstawiam okna. Dzięki tym oknom, inni ludzie, mogą przenieść się tam na moment, do Światów Alternatywnych naszych wyobraźni.
Kiedyś uważałem się przede wszystkim za kreatora innej rzeczywistości, jednak moja granica miedze tworzeniem, a biernym opisywaniem surrealistycznej rzeczywistości, zatarła się. Obrazy pojawiają się we mnie już tak naturalnie i tak swobodnie, że coraz bardziej trącę poczucie ich stwarzania, a bardziej staję się Opowieściomalarzem.
Tak wiec opowiadam ludziom o świecie rozbitym w skutek jakiegoś nieznanego kataklizmu na miliony wysp lewitujących w bezkresnej przestrzeni. Opowiadam o świecie w którym działają zupełnie inne prawa fizyki i chemii niż w naszym wymiarze. Grawitacja ma tam inne właściwości niż ta z którą spotykamy się na co dzień. Przedmioty mogę się bezwładnie unosić tylko dlatego, że nie są świadome tego, że nie mogły by tego zrobić. Pojecie skupienia materii jest czymś bardzo względnym i ulotnym. Bez jakichkolwiek przyczyn gotycka katedra może stać się lepką cieczą, a ciało kobiety zespolić się ze skałą. Lecz w całym tym prowizorycznym chaosie pojawiły się istoty rozumne, które uczyniły sobie tą ziemię poddaną. To one wznoszą wspaniałe budowle, one tworzą monumentalne parowozy i to one podbiły przestworza zapełniwszy je okrętami i sterowcami.
Ktoś się może zapytać; gdzie znajdują się owe światy, czy mieszczą się w naszej galaktyce, czy może znacznie dalej? Jednak odległość nie ma tu żadnego znaczenia. Świat rzeczywisty przenika się ze światami naszych wyobraźni. Czasami nakładają się one na siebie kreując wzajemnie swoje rzeczywistości. Trwają równocześnie w tej samej przestrzeni i w tym samym czasie, a tylko od nas zależy jak cienka jest granica, która je od siebie oddziela. Moja granica miedzy światem realnym, a tym utkanym z misternych włókien mojej wyobraźni zawiera się w grubości powieki oka.
Tak, to jest właśnie mój wykładnik bycia artystą, umiejętność wykreowania nowej rzeczywistości i umieszczenie w niej, choć na chwilę, widza, tak by mógł swymi otwartymi oczyma ujrzeć to, co ja zawsze widzę, gdy oczy mam zamknięte.
Potęga wyobraźni jest nieodgadniona, a drążenie jej bezmiaru uczyniłem sensem mych poszukiwań artystycznych. Od jakiegoś czasu przebywam w świecie pełnym nierealnych, monumentalnych maszyn. To jest dziś, a jakie światy odnajdę jutro? Tego sam jestem ciekaw.
