WORLD'S LARGEST VERTICAL FARM COMING TO DUBAI

This is great news for the United Arab Emirates, as the country imports about 85 percent of its food and only a small percentage of its land is arable, according to CNN.
The massive vertical farm is a $40 million joint venture between Emirates Flight Catering and agri-tech company Crop One Holdings. The produce from the farm will be used for in-flight meals on Emirates.
How Will The Vertical Farm Work?
Crop One Holdings has announced the farm will use hydroponics to produce leafy greens. Nutrients will be mixed in a water solution that circulates through the plant's roots, according to Modern Farmer.
The farm will rely on LED lights but plans to go solar by 2050 in an effort to make it more sustainable.
