Ramsay Slams 'Pompous' Three Star Chef

RAMSAY SLAMS 'POMPOUS' THREE STAR CHEF

Gordon Ramsay has slammed legendary chef Michel Roux Sr, after the latter implemented a ban on photographing food in his three Michelin star restaurant, The Waterside Inn.

Roux announced earlier this week that he would no longer permit diners to photograph their food at the restaurant in Bray, now presided over by his son Alain. “I’m really getting so upset about people taking pictures. We put up a card at the door - ‘No photos, please,’” he told the Daily Mail. “What are they doing? Maybe once during the meal you want to take a little photo of something because it’s unusual. But what about the flavours? A picture on a phone cannot possibly capture the flavours.”

The Roux brothers, Albert and Michel, originally from France, are widely credited with having transformed the British culinary landscape, training the likes of Marco Pierre White, Pierre Koffmann and Sat Bains.

However, Ramsay, who once worked under the Rouxs at Le Gavroche, has weighed in on Twitter, calling Roux "pompous" and "an old fart." Read Ramsay's tweets below.

No response as of yet from Roux, but we know Ramsay likes to pick a fight.

A couple of weeks ago the tables were turned however, when an angry chef's Facebook post branding Ramsay a "terrible ambassador for the industry," went viral.
