10+ Dishes from London's Newest Three Michelin Star Restaurant

10+ DISHES FROM LONDON'S NEWEST THREE MICHELIN STAR RESTAURANT

The unveiling of the Michelin Guide to Great Britain and Ireland 2018 brought the news of a newly crowned three star restaurant, The Araki in London’s Mayfair, which serves a set omakase (chef’s choice) menu of Edomae sushi for two sittings of 10 covers a night, priced at £300.

The Araki has been open since 2014, and has held two Michelin stars since the 2016 Guide. The award is vindication for sushi master Mitushiro Araki, who decided to close his three Michelin star restaurant in Ginza, Tokyo in search of a new challenge, relocating his business and family to London. The Arakis were clearly overcome with emotion on receiving Michelin’s highest honour at the live unveiling of the Guide.

The restaurant joins four other restaurants in the Great Britain and Ireland Guide to hold three Michelin stars – Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London, and The Fat Duck and The Waterside Inn, in Bray.
