Glimpses of could- and might-have-beens
Only to be awaken by what the present brings
Palpitate
My heart throbs obnoxiously
As if to banish all the masks I'm wearing
Deafen by my own cries to the heathen gods
Abandoned by sense, science and logic
Nothingness
Standing naked into the abyss
