The food artist and commercial director David Ma has taken inspiration from Hollywood blockbusters to create four amazing how-to recipe videos.

What if iconic film directors like Wes Anderson or Quentin Tarantino created how-to recipe videos?

The LA-based food artist, commercial director and freelance “foodie-for-hire” David Ma has imagined how four great directors could make a short film in their unmistakable aesthetics. The results are four one-minute recipe videos inspired by the recognizable visual styles of Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Alfonso CuarĂ³n and Michael Bay.

"I treat food videos like films, making every moment cinematic, original and drool-worthy" says the artist. The "cinematic element", a source of inspiration for David Ma's visual representation of food, becomes central in these #FoodFilms.

Enjoy the four videos below to discover how it would look like if Quentin Tarantino made spaghetti and meatballs, Alfonso Cuaron made pancakes, Michael Bay made waffles and Wes Anderson made s’mores.
