The Aviary Cocktail Book: A Preview

Take a look at amazing pictures from The Aviary Cocktail Book, out July 2018, featuring incredible drinks from the world-renowned Chicago bar.

Since opening in 2011, The Aviary has become one of the most influential cocktail bars in the world. Its founders, Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas – creators and owners of Alinea restaurant in Chicago (which ranks 21st in the World's 50 Best Restaurants list) – approach crafting cocktails the way they approach cooking, with great attention to detail.

The duo decided to collaborate with the Californian artists Allen and Sarah Hemberg to create a beverage cookbook in which The Aviary’s cocktails are protagonists. To finance the self publishing of the book, the team launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign that was a great success: 3640 backers pledged more than $400,000 to help bring this project to life.

The result of this collaboration will be a quality beverage book that will compare to iconic cookbooks: full-page pictures photos, elegant layouts and great print quality. Recipes from The Aviary menu will be assembled in a beautifully crafted book, a must-have for all cocktail lovers who will be able to recreate their spectacular drinks at home.
