Nadine Levy Redzepi's Debut Cookbook

If you live in the Redzepi household it probably goes without saying there's extra pressure on the domestic front when it comes to home entertaining. After all, most visitors expectations of the food presented in the home of one of the world's best chefs are going to be high.

Fortunately, Redzepi's wife, Nadine Levy Redzepi is up to the challenge and isn't keeping it a secret how one of the world's best chefs, family and friends eat at home, in company, in her aptly named debut cookbook: Downtime. And it seems, she's the best woman for the job, afterall her husband confesses to not doing much cooking after service and infact "loving" his wife's home cooking, as reported by the Telegraph.

Nadine has a recipe up her sleeve to suit most occasions, with a mantra that makes sense: "Pair the very best ingredients with restaurant-inflected techniques that make the most of out their inherent flavours."

The book contains recipes to appeal to most levels of competence, from everyday ones like tomato bruschetta, pan-seared pork chops, slow-roasted salmon, or dark, fudgy brownies a new look, to special occasion cooking, demanding of more sophisticated technique, with recipes like White Asparagus with Truffle Sauce; Rotini with Spicy Chicken Liver Sauce; or a decadent Giant Macaron Cake.

Anyway, it all looks like food without the ceremony and a good slice of conviviality, and enough to keep us satisfied until Redzepi's new farm centered Noma 2.0 opens later in the year.
