America's Best New Restaurant is a Sandwich Joint

Bon Appétit has published its Hot 10 list, a round up of America’s best new restaurants for 2017 and the winner might surprise a few people.

That’s because this year’s Hot 10 places a sandwich shop in the top spot. That’s right, the best new restaurant in America for 2017 is Turkey and The Wolf, a sandwich joint in New Orleans opened by Mason Hereford.

The collection of restaurants really does show the diverse offering across the U.S. dining scene, all opened in the last year and all of them offer up an individual take on delicious.

Second on the list went to Elske in Chicago and third place was awarded to Mister Jiu’s in San Francisco.
