FIREWORKS IN GAZA. (KEMBANG API DI GAZA) Wiluya Dimas

FIREWORKS IN GAZA .

It is not fireworks decorate the sky in Gaza
But the arms that spreading the death indiscriminately
Children lost fathers, mothers without children or relative.
Blood was spilled to the ground turning into dust, and muted history .

Chiming church bells , was in vain
Crushed rumbling tanks and soldiers marching shoes ,
Even Jesus becomes  a victim to be crucified, just like that.
Without us know for what , and who are you and I ?

You're at the end of the gun and I'm at the end of  your bayonet .
For a moment we looked at each other without knowing what we are doing .
Eli Eli lama sabachthani . God why did you leave me ?
Right in the heart your bayonet embedded slowly .

Without rancor I smile to you
All my life I do not know the taste and sense of independence
Only now because your bayonet I know
I found my freedom.

KEMBANG API DI GAZA.

Bukan kembang api yang menghiasi angkasa di Gaza
Tapi senjata penjemput maut tanpa pandang bulu
Anak-anak kehilangan bapak, ibu tanpa anak tanpa saudara
Darah tertumpah untuk tanah debu sejarah yang bisu.

Denting lonceng gereja, terasa sia-sia
Dilindas gemuruh tank dan derap sepatu serdadu,
Jesuspun jadi korban disalibkan begitu saja
Tanpa kita tahu untuk apa, lalu siapa kau dan aku ?

Kau di ujung senapan dan aku di ujung bayonetmu.
Sejenak kita bertatapan tanpa tahu apa yang kita lakukan.
Eli Eli lama sabachthani. Tuhan kenapa kau tinggalkan aku?
Tepat di jantungku bayonetmu tertanam perlahan.

Tanpa dendam aku tersenyum padamu
Sepanjang hidupku aku tak tahu rasa dan arti kemerdekaan
Baru kini karena bayonetmu aku jadi tahu
Kemerdekaan yang kucari mendapatkan jawaban
